Getting your test results
If your test results show that you need more tests or treatment, we will contact you.
Once a doctor has reviewed your test results, you can view them:
- in your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
- in your Patient Access account
- fill out a online form via Accurx
- by phoning us on 01257 442 442 and we will tell you what the results are
Blood test clinics
All Blood Tests are by appointment only. Please phone your local clinic to book an appointment to complete your blood test, as listed below.

Appointments at the hospital for bloods is now by appointment only.
Appointments can be made at Royal Preston Hospital or Chorley and South Ribble District General Hospital, operating Monday to Friday from 9am until 5pm. To book your appointment, please call 01257 247 095 (alternatively you can also contact the service on 01257 247 097 or 01772 523 018).
If you are attending Royal Preston Hospital for a routine blood test, please arrive at the main entrance and turn right towards the ambulance desk; the clinic details will be sign posted from here. If you are attending Chorley and South Ribble District General Hospital for a routine blood test, please arrive at the front door of the Urgent Care Centre.
You should only attend one of these hospital clinics for a blood test if:
- your doctor has instructed you to do so, and
- has supplied you with a blood form to bring with you to your appointment
The blood form is a requirement for your appointment so please remember to bring it along. If you have not received a blood form, but have been instructed to attend a hospital clinic, please contact your GP practice directly before attending.
